Today, $6.43 might not seem like a historic sale to most, but it certainly was for Zatkoff Seals & Packings back in March of 1959. As the very first sale made by founder Roger Zatkoff to Mayson Manufacturing, it started a commitment to customer service that has continued into the company’s 60th year.
How challenging was it to make that first sale back in 1959?
“I found that folks gave me a chance because they knew I was a young salesperson with a family, and how difficult it was to get a business started. A lot of folks gave me a chance based on my past football performance, so I only had one opportunity to get it right,” Roger remembers.
