Benefits of PORON® Products
  • Excellent compression set resistance which enables durable, long-term performance for gasketing, sealing, and cushioning.
  • Low-outgassing and non-fogging, containing no plasticizers or residual chemicals to contaminate the device. The material will not become brittle and crumble and is non-corrosive to metal.
  • Inherently flame retardant without the use of additives. Many of the materials meet flammability requirements of UL HBF and MVSS 302.
  • Engineered urethane formulations offering a wide modulus range - 2-90 psi @ 25% deflection – for more design versatility requirements.
  • Good chemical resistance
  • Easy to fabricate, die-cuts cleanly and works with a broad range of adhesives
  • Broad range of formulas and thicknesses from 0.012" to 0.500" (0.43mm to 12.7mm)
Rogers Poron® 4701-37
PORON® AquaPro™ 4701-37
  • Resistance to stress relaxation & compression set
Durable, long-term performance needed to maintain a seal Flame retardant
  • Flame retardant
Meets flammability requirements of UL 94 HBF and FMVSS 302
  • Broad temperature range
Performs reliably between -40°C and 90°C for constant use and up to 120°C for intermittent us
  • Low Outgassing
No plasticizers to migrate, noncorrosive to metal and environmentally safe
  • Chemical resistance
Survives exposure to a wide range of common automotive fluids
PORON® AquaPro™ 4701-41
  • Lower Closure Force Required
Due to the low porosity nature of the material it does not need to be compressed as much to maintain a tight seal. Thus, it is often a good choice for sealing applications where low closure force is required.
  • Longer Lasting Seal
PORON® "enhanced sealability" materials offer excellent resistance to compression set ensuring not only an excellent sealing gasket initially, but also a longer lasting seal. This material offers improvement over closed-cell sponge rubber materials.
  • Meets Demanding Requirements
PORON® 4701-41 performs under demanding conditions including applications where a vacuum is applied or the component is subjected to positive air pressure. Other applications include outdoor gasketing where there is exposure to environmental elements, such as eletrical enclosure cabinets and control boxes.
  • Enhanced Physical Properties
PORON® 4701-41 offers more closed-cells than standard PORON® urethane grades, while still offering high resistance to compression set, low outgassing, and flame retardant properties with the added benefit of lower porosity and better sealability.
