1989 was a year of growth for Zatkoff Seals & Packings with the addition of our fourth facility in Saginaw. The location was an obvious choice, given it was the home of two large foundries, as well as the Saginaw Steering Division, which supplied several of the big three automakers. Roger Zatkoff, after building a base business in the area, invested wisely in the Saginaw community with a remodeled facility located in close proximity to these automotive plants. Being nearby meant Zatkoff was there to answer the call when issues arose that threatened production.
Terri Hartley, a retired member of the original Zatkoff Seals & Packings Saginaw team, remembers, “The local automotive folks were continuously dropping in for those emergency seals and packings, and I was glad to help size the parts to get the plants back up and running.”
This commitment to customer service and serving as a resource in the community was strong back then, and continues to this day. Our Saginaw branch is now being housed in a facility almost five times our original space, with an increased inventory to match.
We are very proud of our tri-city area roots and appreciate the relationships we have fostered with other businesses in the community. We still provide local part sizing to all those who need assistance, along with our large inventory of seals and packings, customer educational training, and unparalleled customer service. The Zatkoff team is driven by exceeding expectations and requirements in the marketplace as they have evolved over the years.
